Nhà thờ họ có ý nghĩa như thế nào ?
Đối với con người việt nam nói riêng và con người văn hóa á đông nói chung, khi đi làm ăn xa hay lập nghiệp một nơi nào đó thì con người ta luôn muốn hướng về quê cha đất tổ hay còn gọi là cố hương (quê cũ), mặc dù thành công hay thất bại thì con người ta không thể không nhắc đến cội nguồn của mình. Do đó họ luôn muốn có một nơi để con cháu sum vầy quây quần bên nhau, ông bà ta có câu ” một giọt máu đào hơn ao nước lả” là để thể hiện tình đoàn kết trong dòng họ của mình.
Bên cạnh đó còn có câu “phú quý sinh lễ nghĩa” tức khi con cháu thành danh họ sẽ quay về phúc báo tổ tiên, chăm sóc mồ mã nhang đèn cho tổ tiên, mong sao tổ tiên phù hộ con con cháu mạnh khỏe bình an, làm ăn thăng tiên.
Như vậy nhà thờ họ có ý nghĩa : nhớ ơn, đền ơn tổ tiên vì có tổ tiên mới sinh ra mình, nhà thờ họ còn là nơi gắn kết tình cảm anh em trong gia đình, dòng họ, là nơi tập chung sum vầy vui vẻ bên tổ tiên con cháu mỗi khi lễ tết giỗ chạp.
